We stayed in Lhasa in December....a little late writing the review. This was the best of the hotels we stayed at in Tibet. First thought when I entered the hotel is cold. The heat didn't seemed to be turned on for the 1st story. Made breakfast a kind of chilly adventure. The heat seemed to be on in the rest... More

This is an odd property. Build to be luxurious about 5 years ago, management has allowed it to deteriorate prematurely. The room was comfortable, and had Tibetan trim and a charming arched window. The staff was friendly and tried to please - but only one bellboy could speak English - and he was delightful. The access to the "spa" is... More

The hotel is very grand, though some of the facilities are lacking. It feels much older than it is. Most people there speak no English so getting help with anything can be difficult. The room was fine, but the main problem is the location. There are other hotels within nice walking areas but this hotel was in an out-of-the-way location.... More

Acceptable hotel in this area where you would not have high expectations with respect to hotel management. Prematurely worn out 3-yr old hotel with many things falling apart already in the bathroom, furniture etc ... In some rooms, the covered panel part of the remote control for the air-conditioner is glued together, so only heating is available in some rooms... More

The location in Lhasa for this hotel is a bit out of the way, so there is no walking about of any interest. The rooms were actually quite nice (see the photos uploaded by previous reviewer), however the beds were extremely hard. One of our small group used the duvet from the extra bed in the room to sleep on... More

This hotel was recommended by China Highlights as part of the individual tour they arranged for us. The hotel, like all their arrangements proved to be an excellent choice. Only open about 8 months, it is very modern in a very interesting style. The rooms were very attractive and comfortable and included a steam machine to offset the dryness of... More

We stayed at this hotel on our last night in Lhasa City. My wife and I were on the Qinghai-Tibet Railway & Tibet tour. This hotel was far far better than King Sun Grand Hotel we stayed earlier. (See my review on King Sun Grand Hotel, Lhasa.) The room we stayed: was clean & spacious  had spacious wardrobe ... More
