for a 4 star hotel,there was only one mediocre restaurant with limited menu,pool was empty,TV highly censored(not even HBO),smoking permitted everywhere including restaurant,elevators.came to tibet to experience tibetan culture,got sterile chinese efficiency instead.would recommend looking around for another hotel in this price range

It was very quiet during our stay at the Lhasa Hotel in April 2010, as in, the hotel is very large and there were very few people there. Awful hotel! The lobby is beautiful and deceiving. STAY AWAY,,,,The Lhasa Hotel was a total FILTHY DUMP. The beds were hard, the Bathroom was small and had plenty of Mold, the hallways dark and smelly,,,,Nothing was good and to think VIKING RIVER TOURS a 5 Star tour took us there for 3 nights. All I can say is stay away it shut be condemned......
