We loved this hostel.
Friendly place, comfortable, right next to the Forbidden City.
Rooms were comfortable, nice old wooden feeling.
If you have children, it was welcoming and quiet.
All well.

The location of the hostel is great if you're into the main attractions of Beijing (right next to the forbidden city wall). However, it is a bit far from the nearest subway station (Tienanmen east), which can be a bit headache if arriving/leaving by subway with big backpacks.
The staff of the hostel is very helpful and they all speak...

We booked a deluxe room for 2 persons with own bathroom. The night was around 50euros during the golden week, the most expensive period in the year I think. We had some trouble to find the hostel but after we did it, our bedroom was showed to us, and absolutely no disappointment (I'm used to go to 3/4 stars hotels...

From the wonderful and calm space, great location (10min walk from subway or 2 min taxi drive, in the excellent area of tiananmen square, summer palace, night market, great streets, great restaurants), to the excellent staff and help they provide, either regarding food, trips, or just advice on beijing, to the great food, rooms, beds and bathrooms, and, finally, great...

Nice location but don't expect too much. Small room. A double bed and table at the foot of the bed occupied the entire room. Strong WIFI connection near the reception area only. No WIFI signal inside the room. Relatively big bathroom and toilet. Clean towels, toilet paper, hot water, aircon available. Breakfast not included at approximately USD69 a night.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Peking Youth Hostel & would recommend it incredibly highly to anyone considering staying in Beijing. Brilliant location, right next door to Forbidden City, close to subway & night markets. Rooms were lovely & clean, a bit small, but this did not bother us at all. Awesome staff, very helpful & never hesitated to...

My dad and I shared a twin room (two single beds) with a private ensuite and had a relatively restful night's sleep during my 6 night stay (only interrupted by dad's snoring!)
As most of the other reviews already specify: It's in a good location: right near the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and the Dong Hua Men Night Food Market...

The location, cleanliness, facilities and ambience of this place are 100% top notch. You are within easy walking distance of two major shopping areas, minutes to the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and the Night Markets. I stayed in a twin room with private ensuite and the beds, duvets and bathroom are excellent. The room I was in was within range...

I was in Beijing for 10 days, during which I stayed in 3 different places. I stayed at the PIYH on my last night in town after my tour group returned to Hong Kong and I realized that continuing my stay at the Marriott for one night would have set me back almost the same cost of the entire 4-day...
