What a glorious establishment. Set in a small river valley within the Nairobi National Park "The Emakoko" is a family run business with superior accommodation, great staff and excellent food. Just 45 minutes from the city. The rooms are excellent and very comfortable, the cuisine well prepared, delightfully served in an open-air dining area. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Despite... My husband and I stayed for just one night at Emakoko for his birthday and it was perfect. The staff were very attentive and professional. The meals were delicious and beautifully presented. The grounds and the pool were expertly looked after. Our room was very comfortable with a gorgeous view. We live in Nairobi and it was so nice to... More

the Nairobi Park has always been, since childhood, a very special place for me. Since the opening of the Emakoko it is even more special! We have now been there twice and we plan to visit often. Emma and Anton are lovely hosts, the lodge is luxurious but comfortable at the same time, the staff are cheerful and attentive but... More

What an excellent trip we just had to the Emakoko. Everyone was incredibly hospitable and the hotel itself is beautiful. We didn't get a chance to meet Emma and Anton but Chris and Rachel were excellent hosts in their place. We decided to make a last minute trip and Chris was extremely helpful working out the details the day before... More

We stayed at the Emakoko for 3 nights in February with a large group of 20, when we visited Kenya for my daughter's wedding, which the Emakoko also hosted. The managers, Emma and Anton, were unbelievable - they were so on top of everything - from organizing transfers for all the guests, to amazing and creative menus that accommodated everyone's... More

I was recently on a short business trip to Kenya. I wanted to do a bit of Game viewing and my work colleagues recommended a stay at Emakoko. I only had one night but they picked me up early and took me on a game drive en-route to the Hotel. The lodge itself is a delight. It is perched on... More

The choice of Embakoko lodge on the last day of our Kenyan safari in Nairobi turned out to be excellent and we did see black and white Rhino, albeit at a distance. The lodge itself is stunning and very upscale with period photographs of old Nairobi and the park on the walls. The food and service was excellent and the... More

Just returned from Kenya andEthiopia and had the great pleasure of staying at Emakoko at the beginning of our trip and at the end. It was perfection across the board. From the moment we were met at the airport to returning us to the airport we were met with kindness, expertise, comfort and great adventure. The food was superb and... More
