The Hotel was very dirty and smelled very bad. I had to wait to shower because no hot water and my bed was uncomfortable. The location was good. It was nice to be in the middle of town. That's the only good thing. Overall I recommend a different location to stay. Will not stay again. Charlee

We enjoyed our stay there. The location is great, close to the centre and to shops and restaurants, the stuff was friendly and helpful. We had a big room with a balcony which I found clean enough and there were some extra blankets (useful in Amman in winter). The staff did not charge us for the Internet and they cooked... More

This hotel is well located between Rainbow street and down town. The rooms are big. That's for the good points. Bad points : Rooms are not well cleaned (found an underwear...) and not very clean (had a cockroach in the room). Hot water doesn't exist, free internet promised becomes a 1JD per hour internet, and the breakfast is quite light.... More

I guess you cannot complain too much when you are just paying 10euros to sleep in a downtown hostel. But I think at least I can expect the hotel to change the bed sheet each time the clients check out... or am I asking too much? I was in Amman staying at this hotel. I checked out the next morning,... More

I stayed at many places in Amman, JO. I don't understand how this hotel is getting less than 100% in its reviews. It is a nice place to stay and you can trust my review because I have lived in Jordan for almost a year and I have seen most of the other hotels in the area. Sydney is the... More

We are travelling with 4 young children. We moved here from the Farah Hotel as the Farah had rooms for one night only. The Sydney hotel is well located, a 3 monute walk from the heart of the old town and restaurants. The rooms are big, bigger and better than the Farah. We had 2 triple roms both with en... More

This hostel was just fine for what we paid (11 bucks per person per night). It was a little dirty...but I paid $11. Skip the 2JD "breakfast" - it's hard pita with jam-ish stuff. Don't come expecting views (brick wall) or to catch up on your Arab Television ( didn't work) or to take a relaxing shower (bathroom was little... More

We recently stayed at Sydney Hostel for 2 nights while passing through Amman. Maybe it was the fact that the place was entirely empty but it had a dark, dingy vibe which made it feel a bit run-down and sad. The place itself is conveniently located near Hashim Restaurant and in walking distance to the Souk, Book@Cafe and other "sights"... More

We stayed at the Sydney Hotel for 3 days. Overall it was fine. There's a nice big lobby to hang out, we had a TV, the bed was good, and we had a balcony facing the street. It was quiet at night. It was cold though, even with a small space heater in the room, and we only had hot... More
