I found out about this hotel as I'd previously stayed in the Damascus hostel, which Raymond (the owner of the Amman Pasha) had owned. When he relocated to Amman, since we had wanted to visit Jordan anyway, this seemed the ideal time, and the ideal place to stay. Some people have complained in reviews here about the hotel. According to... More

We chose to stay at this hotel as we had stayed in Raymond, the owner’s, hostel when we visited Damascus three years previously. Raymond is a lovely, friendly, incredibly obliging character and nothing is too much trouble for him. The hotel is in an ideal location, being situated directly across from the Roman Amphitheatre and 15 minutes walk, uphill, to... More

great location right across from the roman ampitheatre. The rooms are very basic but clean and good value. Free breakfast and nightly traditional dancing. The hotel will organize anything you need. The staff is what really makes this place special. So friendly and accommodating. I left my passport in Aqaba at another hotel and was due to fly home the following... More

I stayed here a total of four nights, and would definitely come back. The hotel is managed by a truly lovely team hailing from Jordan, Syria, Palestine, and Sudan. The location can't be beat with views from the rooftop cafe over the ancient Roman ampitheatre, and it's short walking distance to great local restaurants such as Hashem and Aubergine, as... More

We had one night here simply as a stop over before going south, but ended up being very grateful we had chosen this as a base to explore the fascinating city of Amman. The hotel has its own decent restaurant, which was welcome as we landed late in the day, and is one minute from the extremely worthwhile Amphitheatre (a... More

We stayed two nights at this welcoming and friendly place. After a smooth arrival with the taxi from Amman airport we were welcomed with Baklava and tea. The restaurant is very nice and the breakfast in the morning was also tasty. Everyone went out of their way to make you happy. The people are the biggest asset at this budget... More

Good value. The food is good, the Internet works ok most of the time, central location. Staff friendly and welcoming. Some are on the ball, others less so. Difficult to find somewhere to sit where someone isn't smoking but as wifi isn't available in the rooms, you must sit downstairs somewhere. Organization of taxis a bit hit and miss so... More

My Grandma and I felt welcomed and looked after the moment we stepped through the door. In my years of travelling around various continents I have never felt more welcome at a hotel. The staff are extremely hard working and do everything in their power to make you feel comfortable and have a pleasant stay in Jordan. As soon as... More

This hotel was everything I had hoped for. Friendly, helpful, clean, quirky, affordable. The rooms are VERY basic, but if you are anything like us, we used the beds and showers and that was all that mattered! The staff was so flexible, patient and helpful! They helped us have pizza and beer on the roof., They assisted in getting drivers... More

In a land famed for its friendliness and service, the staff at Amman Pasha Hotel, take hospitality & service to a new level. Hussam, the receptionist on duty whilst we were at the hotel offered exemplary attention to detail, friendliness and a complete dedication to service.. from arranging a free shuttle up to the Citadel to organising a fab trip...
