The hotel is in the perfect location for walking around Old Istanbul and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms are small and basic, but we were not in Istanbul to spend a lot of time in our rooms! We enjoyed our time there and appreciated how helpful and easygoing the workers were.

Terrible first impression here. We arranged a taxi from the airport through this hotel. What happened was we were met by a guy who was also meeting about 20 other people, who were all shepherded in various shuttle minivans, all of which dropped passengers off at different hotels. The location is excellent very close, 5-10 min. walk, to all main tourist points. The staff was very friedly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but good. Some rooms have no window. Ask for a room with balcony.

Evsen is Turkish and it means "Very small room without any window". Atleast I think so. The hotel is in the heart of Istanbul Old Town. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Very helpful staff.
