Official Description (provided by the hotel):: You Khin House is a architect designed house, built on three floors. The guest rooms are on the first and second floor around a central staircase lit and ventilated by a "wind tower" with sky light. The architecture sets it apart from other buildings in Phnom Penh and is nestled in a green patio, guarded from view by the traditional wooden house at the front. Only when the front door is open and one has stepped in the hallway can the house be seen. All rooms and all parts of the hotel have natural light. The ground floor is a gallery displaying original paintings by the late artist and architect of the house - You Khin. His work are also displayed on all the floors.The swimming pool is used by children at the Seametrey Children's Village school next door between 9am and 2pm. A bright and airy communal lounge on the second floor has a pool table, a flat screen cable TV and a small library. The owner lives on the top floor. The volunteers at the school live in the wooden house at the front. Some staff members and children live in the school next door.You Khin House is a community. “Peaceful atmosphere & Friendly Staff”

Stayed for only 1 night at You Khin House but, I had a great experience. The staff are incredibly friendly! You just feel like home and being part of a family. The room was very comfortable and clean. Centrally located, few minutes away from main attractions by Tuk tuk. It is truly a great place to stay!

I stayed at this guesthouse while I was traveling through Cambodia, Thailand and Laos. As far as I can tell, the guesthouse is conveniently located, but some of the tuk tuk drivers didn't know it, so make sure you bring a printout/map along when you arrive in PP.
