We stayed at The Queen of Heart Hotel twice. Both times were very enjoyable... Family run and it definitely shows. They go out of their way to help you in anyway they can. If you're new to the city they can give a day full of great activities and tasty local places to eat. The rooms here are great, big... More

We recently stayed 2 nights in Hanoi. While checking our Lonely Planet for a suitable hotel to stay, we found the Queen of Heart Hotel and are happy to have made this choice. The hotel had been overtaken by it's new proprietary Mr. Hoa - the most hearty and helpful person we met so far in Vietnam - and proprietary... More

I was greeted with a warm welcome by the staff of the hotel. I would say the friendliness of the staff is awesome. However, the cleanliness of the room was terrible. I saw mosquitoes in the room and I even saw a cockroach! When I look through the room and the bedsheet, I seem like the room was left vacant... More

Lonely Planet guide reported this as a very clean hotel. Sadly we found it to be the opposite! We stayed there 3 times in a week and the bathroom was not cleaned between visits. The drainage was very poor in the shower leaving large puddles on the floor. Breakfast was well catered. Staff were inconsistent in their service. Sometimes helpful... More

I had stayed here in 2010 and for two people, it was a good option as the room fittings are quite sumptuous. It is quite central, the Old Quarter is quite accessible, as is Hoan Kiem Lake. The street food around this part of town is quite nice as well. The room is clean, but as mentioned elsewhere, there are... More

Good location, close to the old town. Rooms are ok but bathrooms not so clean. Different rooms' size but always the same price? Some staff members (men) are very rude and one almost forced me to buy a tour upon my arrival and accepted only payment by cash even though they say they accept credit cards payment... The lady at... Went there with the kids in January 2011 following a recommendation from the Lonely Planet. The hotel is very conveniently located in the historic center of Hanoi. Rooms are decent and clean. Behind their "too cool to care" attitude, the staff is actually friendly and helpful. The hotel can be very noisy: as all rooms are located around a steep... More

We spent a few days in the Queen of Heart in Hanoi the last February (25 of February until 1 of March, 2012) and I want to advise any traveller: don´t go to this place. They stole us 900 hundred american dollars from the “safe box”. It was our last night in Viet Nam and they knew. They knew when... More

This is a great location and the rooms are spacious. The front lobby can put you off and breakfast is fair. The staff are just overte topin terms of helpfulness.

My partner and I stayed at Queen of Heart for 3 nights in February 2012. Value for money was excellent. We booked a tour to Sapa and Halong Bay through the hotel. We were very impressed with the quality of the tours booked. Also, on three occasions we were given a room for a couple of hours to freshen up,... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Hanoi's old quarter is a timeless reminder of a bygone era. You can walk around the Hoan Kiem lake at first light and watch the locals playing badminton, practicing tai chi or just passing the time with a lover. You can sit in the coffee shop at the head of the lake and just watch people go by, or eat in one of the excellent restaurants. We are right where it is happening, a 3 minute walk to the lake and half way to the red river, you'd be happy to spend an age just soaking up the life around here. ... more   less
