Our stay at Hanoi Amanda was OK... Upon arrival, the receptionist told us that we were being upgraded to a deluxe room which was nice of her and were given an arrival drink. Reception very helpful and very friendly so are the staff out front helping you with your bikes! The room was OK, however considering we had a deluxe... More

Dear wigglesworldwide Communication is the key. How can we know, that you are unhappy. Please talk your innkeeper. We tried our best to make your stay a pleasant one. You declined the offer of an upgraded larger Deluxe room with fire place and balcony because you wish to have free early check in . Unfortunately our Deluxe room was not... More

Was warmly welcomed on arrival, nice and clean room. 5 minutes to lake and within walking distance to old quarters. Only downside was the continental buffet breakfast which had no variety and was same everyday.

Got the highest class room at $50, the room was quite big with a balcony,a laptop and an lcd tv. When you go out the hotel, you can already walk around and go directly to the tourist area in old quarters. They have friendly staff and a tour desk to help you get tours around hanoi and halong bay. The... More

At first glance, the Amanda illicits a "What are we doing here?". After leaving it was sad goodbyes and "If I'm back here, I won't stay anywhere else". It's only 15 feet wide, but has 24 rooms? The rooms were comfortable, though the beds very firm. The breakfast was simple but good. Get a room at the front (401 is... More

I am happy to recommend this hotel. It was comfortable, newly decorated, clean, and the staff was very nice and helpful. The location is wonderful! Right in the middle of the historic city and near the lake and markets. Very nice small hotel in a fascinating city. I am a woman traveling alone and felt very secure here.

Cannot describe how annoying we were to them (as I felt). During the trip I had with my partner in Vietnam, I think Amanda suffered the most. The nicer they tried their best to help and arrange for us, the more we felt at fault. In such a busy and interesting city like Hanoi, Amanda is a great friend goes... More

I stayed in Hanoi Amanda Hotel with my family for 4 nights when we visited Vietnam & Cambodia. A few weeks ago. Very happy with this hotel! Although it located on a small street in Old Quarter of Hanoi, it was surprisingly quiet when you are in the room. At the same time, it is very close to the lake... More

Hotel Amanda is well located in the old quarters in the centre of Hanoi. Around the corner from the Water Puppet Theatre and the lake. The streets of the old town are very busy and crowded. The staff in the hotel was very attentive and helpful. The rooms facing the back of the hotel are quiet even though the view... More

I stayed here for three nights at the start of a trip through Vietnam. It was a great base for exploring the city and is in the bustling old quarter where you can find plenty of bargains and street food. The room was comfortable and clean with mini bar and there was even a laptop in the room for us... More
