My husband, my self and our college aged daughter spent a week at the Tamarind. We all loved it. It was a little haven for us during a 3 week visit to Thailand. The staff were so attentive and helpful...always greeting us by name. The included breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. Our room was on the small side... More

Though expensive the rooms are a treat and it is nearby the nice shopping areas. We went for a walk found a coocking course and did night markets. Staff is professional and design ethnic. The restaurant serves nice food, well prepared, good menu. Thai hospitality being good anyway this place is vernacularish.

The location of this hotel is fantastic. Originally we were trying to decide between here and something closer to the night market. We were very happy to have picked Tamarind. All the major wats are within walking distance and the general area lacks the commotion and riffraff around the market. This hotel is quiet, the rooms are very well appointed,... More

I can't believe I've waited so long to review this hotel. It was my life's dream to travel to Asia, and when I decided to go to Chiang Mai, I combed TripAdvisor and every possible source for a hotel. I was a little hesitant to stay in the middle of town, but this was the best hotel of my entire... More

My wife and i spent six lovely days at the Tamarind village, situated centrally in the old town of Chaing Mai its easy to get around the tourist sites and has bars and shops close by. The room was pretty basic but had every thing we needed, the food was very good and the staff very helpful. The hotel overall is... More

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel (3 nights). The location is amazing, right in the middle of the old town. The hotel itself is nicely decorated and very quiet. The food is also very good and the staff very helpful. However the rooms are very small but clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this... More

This lovely hotel is perfectly placed in the heart of Chiang Mai, close to the must-see temples. Swimming pool very welcomed. The room was OK, but not more - however, bathroom and amenities were great. Breakfast is really good, with a lot of choice - from to Thai to international meals. Will definitely return, and strongly recommend.

Truly great, no other words to describe our stay at the Tamarind Village. Walking through the little lane that enters the hotel makes you feel you're going to a very special place and it is! Right in the middle of the old part of Chiang Mai is this little magical place. Beautiful furniture in the rooms, and a good eye... More
