I loved that place from the first sight. The garden is super nice and the staff was very helpful. It is located in the old town, but almost a 30 minute walk to the Night Bazar Market. It is not a party hostel, but still easy to meet other people since the garden is so relaxing. I would definitley stay... More

One of my favourite place in South East Asia so far. It's absolutely lovely, the garden and outside common area is a gem of peace and quiet in the busy city. The bongalows are extra clean, spacious, the bed comfortable and the air con works great. Great location as you can walk pretty much everywhere from there, and they have... More

This is a great place to stay if you want to be in the old city, walking distance to the action, but set far enough away that you can also enjoy your peace and quiet. We walked to and from the main city gate several times a day (this was during Songkran festival) and we never once wished we were... More

This gueathouse is set in a quiet garden and its great for chilling out. The location is good for walking street market but get tuctuc to night bazaar. I loved this place that i went back a week later. Extra friendly and helpful people. When the water cut out they even let me in their own house to use the... More

I loved everything about this place: affordable, strong wifi, clean dorms and bathrooms, free coffee, cheap laundry... I could go on. Highly recommended if you're looking for an affordable spot to relax.

Comfortable bungalows in a garden. Friendly staff and free toast and coffee/tea for breakfast. Very relaxing. Just 10 minutes walk from restaurants in old city. people respect the quietness so if your in to partying, this is not your accomodation. If you want to enjoy the city in a relaxed way it definately is!

Iv stayed here twice now and loved it both times! The staff are really friendly and offer tips on tours and places to go and see. The hostel itself is clean, beds are comfortable, ac in rooms, laundry facilities. One of the best things about them is free tea, coffee, toast and bananas all day! They also have a really... More

I'm just finished an extended stay at the Gongkaew after spending the last week here. The beds in a dorm room is 250 baht a night. The rooms are clean, have air con and a decent size. The showers and toilets are all clean too. The water from the showers never gets hot but isn't freezing cold either. The owners... More

The hostel is a nice little oasis tucked into Chiang Mai. We stayed in a 2 twin bed room, which was small but nice. The bed was a little lumpy, but the AC worked great. The water did not get very hot in the shower. The common area of the hostel is really relaxed, and the guests are very friendly... More

After exploring hectic Chiang Mai, finding such a quiet, calm guesthouse was a pleasant surprise. Staff are friendly and do anything to help. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. Communal area is pleasant and a relaxed place to meet people. Mosquitos were a problem, so bring good repellant.
