Rooms were very clean and wifi was fast on the ground floor. Staff were helpful and location is good, near the train system Dorm room is on the 6th floor with no elevator and bathrooms only on 3, 4 and 5 floors. Hot water didn't work when I was there either.

After finishing a tour of east asia this was the first hostel I stayed in. It's clean and in the perfect location, by day a short cheap train journey to Surasak ( Bangkok's answer to camden market) and alot of western style shops including boots! By night you are at the heart of the nightmarket and plenty of pop up... More

Although some of the facilities looks old but it is clean. The hostel equipped with water heater. shampoo and washing machine. It is a hostel so don't expecting too much like a hotel. Take note that the hostel do not have elevator, you will need to carry your luggage up the stairs. With this cheap price, what else to expect?... More

Place: The place is great because is tucked in a quite soi but near enough to Patpong, to Silom road and to Surawong road for the nightlife. It's a retrofitted building that was initially intended for offices. The place has narrow corridors w/o the benefit of an elevator. To think I could have gotten better accommodations for the price I... More

I stayed here for a total of 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Toliets/showers were clean and the hostel provided shampoo and soap which was fantastic as I had ran out. I stayed in a dorm on the 6th floor which was s pain to get to but did force me to do some form of exercise on my trip.... More

I stayed here mid July and was a bit shocked when I arrived. It is in a pretty dirty little side street which is not lit at night. The small reception/breakfast room/lobby was a bit messy and it didn't invite you to sit down and mingle with other travellers. The room had no window and was lit by one large... More

A quiet alley of the cozy silom area. Very friendly stuff, rooms are clean and comfort. Reasonable price.

This won't be the cheapest option for you in Bangkok. There are certainly those littered on Khao San Road. But this is probably one of the cozier options. The rooms are clean and big enough. The downsides are the shared bathroom and some rooms don't have a window. The staff are super friendly. We've been here numerous times and have... More

If ou’re coming to Bangkok on a hostel budget, I really cannot recommend The Urban Age enough. Yes, it’s Lonely Planet listed, so you’ll have to reserve a week or two in advance if you want a private en suite room, or even a dorm at some times - but the Silom location features a neat mix of farangs and...
