After travelling a lot through Taiwan (my girlfriend is Taiwanese) i can say lodging is absolutely overpriced and there's a general lack of affordable, clean, and correct mid level hotels/hostels/b&b.
Lucky house breaks the rule offering no-frills minimalistic rooms that look absolutely immaculate (actually better than in the photos on tripadvisor) with comfortable beds, clean sheets a good TV set...
