Where to begin... 1) Get rid of the 'green juice' that is provided when you check-in. It's AWFUL and doesn't contain any juice 2) Put in proper air conditioning controls (my rooms air con was 'centrally controlled') 3) Get rid of the television sets (circa 1984) and replace them with proper flat screens. Goodness knows you are charging first world... More

Just went there after a 5 weeks trip through Southern Africa and many hostels / hotels... and clearly this was the best. In African standards, rooms are clean and modern, staff is really good (Darlington at the entrance, thx), and this is just around the Harare Gardens. As I was going there for the HIFA, it was perfect. The pool... More

The hotel is situated right in the city which proves to be an advantage. The distance from the airport is not too fare either (45min away). The staff is friendly and the rooms are really clean. I loved the restaurant and particularly loved the warm welcome. Check-out is a breeze.

I have stayed at this hotel for many years and have lately watched it trabsform itself into a top class hotel in terms of its cousine, room standard, service, security and ambience. Whether in the newly refurbished rooms or not....every bed I slept in was clean, fresh and doned with brand new 100% pure cotton linens. The staff are warm... More

Stayed at Monomotapa for our honeymoon. It was centrally located for us in Harare town centre. The food was great and the staff friendly. Rooms where well maintained and clean. We stayed in the honeymoon suite which was spacious with views of the city. Good value for money

I have just had a wonderful couple of days at the Crowne Plaza in Harare. From start to finish I can honestly say this was a fantastic experience. Upon arrival I was warmly welcomed like a king. Being a member of the priority club I was automatically upgraded to an enormous suite on the 18th floor. Throughout my stay all... More

Being frankly, the hotel seems quite expensive, but it is in average with the prices of accommodation and restaurants in Harare, which lately has become quite an expensive city, like many other African capitals. The staff of the hotel was very kind, but unfortunately the service was not the best ever. It might have been just an unfortunate case, but... More

For $105 per night, b&b, UN rate, I was quite happy with the Crowne Plaza. It's a sign of the times that the UN shifted its conference from Rainbow Towers to the Crowne Plaza after complaints about declining standards at the Rainbow Towers (ex-Sheraton). We had good wireless connections for most (not all) of our four day stay. Check-in and... More

Ahead of my forthcoming visit to this hotel I have been overwhelmingly impressed with the communication from the management team about my forthcoming visit. It bodes well for the trip and I'm very much looking forward to-well done. If only all hotels were this efficient-let's see what Part 2 of my review brings. Praise where praise is due and all... Selecting this hotel was almost a process of elimination. It was the least of all evils, rather than the prime choice. The reviews at trip advisor haven't been encouraging, but it was the one selected for me. I was disappointed to have no-one pick me at the airport though airport pickup was booked and confirmed by the hotel. One phone... More
