We (group of 5 persons) have stayed for 3 nights at Dar El Hana. The place is really charming, very nice restored and carefully decorated. Each room has a different story and charm, making us wondering how is the next one.... The staff is extremely friendly! We really appreciated that Arantxa was there every morning to speak and be nice... More

My husband I stayed at Dar El Hana for three nights in February and had the entire Dar to ourselves. It was heavenly. We started in the "Hobbit's Hideaway" in the bottom level. It has a huge, beautiful bathroom and is the only room with a TV. The space heater made the room very warm, very fast. However, due to... More

Hi Chandra, Thank you for taking the time to write this review. I understand that the ground floor can be noisy sometimes, depending on what is happening in the Medina, as there you are closest to the "action" as it were, where dense living such as in the Medina exists like we, generally, have never experienced it. For many, this... More

Josephine was so attentive, even before our arrival and after our departure. The entire Riad was charming and all the staff were great. Being in the center of the Medina was great and it was still quiet and peaceful at night. The terrace where we ate had a spectacular view and food was amazing.

Dar El Hana is very well located in the Fes Medina. Leaving the very secure front gate, thirty metres on, you are drawn into the whirlpool of the Medina. We hired a car for part of our stay to be able to visit Volubilis at our leisure. We parked the car for 2 nights in the open carpark Aïn Alitzen,... More

Spent 5 days here at the end of October. Great location at the heart of the Medina, a World Heritage Site, on a quiet side street just off the Tala'a Kbira (the main street in the Medina), but with easy access to and from the Bab Boujloud at the western end of the Medina and the Bab Ain Zleten. Very... More

What Can i say. I have been travelling for the past 6 months and i have not come across friendliness like this in all my travels. From the minute i was greeted at the Train station by the organised driver and meeting the staff at the Dar, i instantly felt at peace and welcomed to Dar El Hana, i guess... More

I would highly recommend this beautiful Dar situated in Fes's fabulous Medina ( the only place to stay) All the rooms are beautifully furnished with traditional Moroccan furniture, wonderful roof terrace and a great dining and seated area if the weather wasn't so good. The service was the best I 've experienced in Morocco, and we can't thank Arantxa enough... More

Enjoyed every aspect of the experience. Smooth arrival from car park with our luggage wheelbarrowed right to the front door. Lovely tile, carving, beautiful and CLEAN. Wonderful rooftop terrace for barbecue, which was a delicious option Josephine offered our group. Even included traditional music. True cultural immersion. Breakfast made fresh daily, guides available on request for sight-seeing, shopping, etc. DEFINITELY... More

Dar el Hana is a lovely place to stay in Fes, a relaxing, snug and serene guesthouse where I truly felt at home. I highly recommend it. The owner, Josephine, is a delightful and friendly host. The service is excellent, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the food, cooked by Fatima, unsurpassed – the best I had in Morocco.... More

We stayed in the Hibiscus room. The bathroom is "across the hall" but what this really means is down a few steps and just adjacent to the public area, so it can be a bit awkward to run into other guests/management on your way to the toilet/shower, especially first thing in the morning. Fatimah's cooking is truly delicious, and I... More
