I have never seen a ‘hotel’ room as dire as this one. It did not have a bed providing instead two children’s cribs which were totally unsuitable for adults. The curtains only covered half of the window which would have woken us at first light had we been able to sleep. The sheets and towels were old and torn. Cleanliness,... More

Large rooms, decent food, comfortable beds. However the main attraction for this hotel is the location, right on the waters edge. We stayed in 4 hotels in Guatemala, and the staff were were the least friendly of all, I don' t know if this was a language issue or not. The restaurant had a nice position overlooking the Rio Dulce,... More

We arrived on the boat across the bay after a long day and were grateful for the warm pool and (artificial) waterfall. our room was large with a view of the bay and a little garden.the higlight was breakfast on the terrace, being entertained by hundreds of sea birds giving us an air display.Sadly we only had one night here-2 would... I arrived by boat - the little islands of mangroves on the one hour boat trip have fantastic flocks of pelicans, cormorants and egrets. The hotel is well situated, the pool a delight with bright birds flying over my head and chirping away. From the pool I feasted my eyes on the palm trees, the abondant tropical vegetation, the flowers... More

After a backpacking trip into Guatemala on the Rio Dulce, this hotel was a great treat. It is located at the mouth of the Rio Dulce River and in the harbor town of Livingston. We had a beautiful cabana that overlooked the pool, the river and the bay. The grounds were well kept with all the bounteous flowering plants the... More

The best: magnific views to the sea from your own room. You wake up with the sun in front of you :-) The hotel is inside Livingston town, so you can go for a walk or to have dinner without any problem. Breakfast buffet really poor. I recommend you to go by boat from Livingston to Rio Dulce town, really... More

The hotel is just on the sea, and our room has a lovely view. The room is nice (nothing luxury) and the hotel is in the town "centre". The restaurant in the hotel is really expensive both for breakfast and for dinner, so just avoid it and luckily there is plenty of choice in walking distance.

The only place to in Livingston if you'll be there for more than 1 night. Place is expensive for the market, but you have a beautful place to call home in case it rains, which it does with great frequency in Dec- Jan.

Set with an amazing view over the bay, this hotel has amenable staff, spacious rooms (with efficient AC) and a great pool area (the pool is a good size, at least 20 metres). We were going to stay two nights but ended up staying for four! The only downside was the food - breakfast was a luke warm buffet and... More

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff was friendly and the pool was really nice. We were in Livingston for 4 nights, and I don't think we could have handled it if we didn't have the awesome pool to chill out in, away from the hustlers and strange smells. The view from our 2nd floor... More
