My wife and I vistied Aspen, August 2011. We stayed and The Durant a quant hotel just off the main entertainment area. The rooms are a bit small but clean and the service is above the normal. We loved the area because we could walk to every attraction and the shopping area. Not too expensive for this area. Would stay... More

The hotel is in a great location in Aspen, right near the ski hills and within walking distance of most restaurants and shops in Aspen. The staff are very friendly and knowlegeable. The room are very cozy and the hotel very quiet. They provide a wonderful breakfast on real dishes with real silverware. More

I loved this place, the rooms are very nice .. clean and simple.. and loved the wooden settings.. the staff was very pleasant. It nice small reading place by fire.. I would definetely go back to the same hotel when I go back to Aspen. Plus the location is great very close to the downtown and close to the mountains.... More

I recently travelled to Aspen from Vail as I was in town for business. The Durant hotel is a very charming hotel located within only 2 blocks to downtown Aspen. Footsteps to town and the ski lifts in the winter time, the Durant offers a lot for its value. The communal area offers tea and snacks, a fire place, couches,... More

My husband and I go to Aspen every year for the Motherlode volleyball tournament and have stayed in many hotels or condos over the years. For the last few years we have stayed at the Hotel Durant and will continue to do so in the future. The staff is the best - friendly and professional. In particular, Brian from the... More

Stayed one night while on a M/C trip. Rooms where smaller but well furnished. The hotel attendant Brian was great. Pointed us to a good restaurant and had a great continental breakfast set in the AM. First time to Aspen but from what I have heard this is one of the best values you will find. Would highly recommend. More

I stayed at the Hotel Durant with my sister for one night in a standard room with two beds for $125/ night. We thought this price was extremely reasonable considering most of the hotels in the area were closer to or over $200/ night. This place doesn't have a pool, gym or many other extra amenities, but if you are... More

My husband and I stayed here for a night on a road trip. We live in Denver and come to Aspen a lot and thus have stayed at most of the places in Aspen at one point. We were very impressed with this find. It is not high end but a small, comfortable, clean, very affordable hotel right in town... More

Think European small hotel. The rooms and baths are small, and lack glitz. But they are immaculate and well cared for. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is superb, just far enough from the hustle and bustle to avoid the hustle and bustle. Most rooms have a pleasant view, some have small balconies. If you want space and... More

We were very disappointed in this hotel. For $280 per night we expected much better. The rooms and lobby are pretty shabby and in need of updating and remodeling. The rooms are very small, with very little storage. The breakfast was adequate but nothing special. On the positive side, the location is good, the beds were comfortable and our room... More
