We were very happy with our stay at the Hotel Oberland. Lauterbrunnen is a convenient home base when you want to visit the different villages in the area and Hotel Oberland is very close to the train station, making travel a breeze. We didn't stay at this hotel but our sister did. She got a single room in the front with waterfall view and balcony. It was lovely. The room and bathroom were good size and clean. Everything was perfect. We stayed at the other hotel with the same quality but much higher price. We now know where to stay next time... More

As with many Swiss hotels, Hotel Oberland is clean, well organized, run by very nice people and makes for a very pleasant experience. Not fancy by Western standards but a good place to get a great night sleep and a fantastic place to use as a launch point for the incredible mountains and valleys that surround Lauterbrunner. More

Not what Americans are used to but by European standards it had a great breakfast. It probably had the largest selection that we saw on our tour. It also has a restaurant where we had dessert one evening and it was wonderful. My only complaint was the quality of the bed sheets. They felt very scratchy. More
