Yes the building is lovely, yes the rooms are nice, yes the location is good but Albert is the definite star of the show! As has been stated previously, his recommendations were always spot on, be it a restaurant - try the Ket Szerecsen (Two Saracens) restaurant (the duck, rhubarb and potato dumplings is worth a mention) or a bar... We had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Kapital Inn for six consecutive nights last month. It was such a fabulous experience that we plan to return for another stay soon. What made it so special? Albert. He made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. His warm personality and sense of humor made our trip so enjoyable.... More

Okay, what can I say about the Kapital Inn that hasn't already been written in the previous 300 plus reviews? Nothing, except my personal recommendation as being one of the best places to stay in Budapest! Based on my recent 6 night stay, here's why I recommend it. It's location - one block from Andrassy Ut and within easy walking... More

The Kapital Inn is even better than what other reviewers have said! Staying there was relaxing and fun and comfortable and I would highly recommend it to all travelers. Albert is truly a great host and the Inn is as great as it is because of his attention to every detail. We were pleased with the information about where to... More

You won't find a better buy in Budapest than this reasonably priced, artfully renovated penthouse B&B, located only a block off Andrassy Avenue, one of the city's loveliest boulevards. The rooms are not only modern and attractive, but ours was equipped with its own laptop. Having attended college in Boston, Albert, the proprietor, speaks perfect English and knows every nook... We added a 2 night stay at the Kapital Inn to the beginning of a cruise on the Danube. We made our reservation based entirely on the almost too good to be true reviews. Well, if anything, the reviews are understated. If allowed, we would give more stars. As others have said, the rooms are very nice, modern, and the... More

What a great find in the wonderful city of Budapest....situated in a lovely old apartment building our impeccably clean and spacious room was very comfortable. The common deck area was well furnished and inviting...like an oasis in the middle of the busy city! And then there is Albert...can't speak highly enough of our personable and well informed host...he is genuinely... More

Albert is an enterprising young man. He learned the hotel trade in London and the US and returned to the city he knows best, to ply his trade. Kapital Inn must be the best bed and breakfast place in Budapest. What really makes it unique though is the way that Albert is happy to give information and advice about the... More

Budapest is a city striving to overcome considerable disadvantages of its history. Funky, surprising, decrepit, youthful, relaxed, subtly menacing, mysterious, and so effortless to bond with – Budapest is a long lost relative, newly reclaimed. As a visitor, there are touchstones that quickly reveal the pulse of the city: Hungarian State Opera, public baths, Terror Museum, Jewish district -- all... More

I realize there are some that are skeptical about the Trip Advisor reviews, but trust me on this one!! I cannot imagine the egregious mistake we would have made by staying anywhere else. Yes, there are 4 flights of stairs, but my husband and I are past our mid 60's and handled them just fine, especially since Albert carted the... More
