Fun, colorful and full of life. Casa de la Musica is literally the best hostel I've ever been to. The staff is friendly and the overall feel is soo relaxed it almost made me want to sit in the hostel rather than go sightseeing. I especially love the balconies that are a great place to hang out - not only... More

I booked a female dormitory room where ten people can sleep.. i thought i would not get any sleep 'cause i read somewhere it is quite noisy but i was positively suprised. I guess i was lucky to get nice roommates but on the whole the sleep quality was good. The bed was not really comfortable but it was ok.... More

Enjoyed the hostel: executive and really nice stuff, nice rooms, huge amount of bathrooms, perfect location and interior. If you are just looking for the place to sleep - here you get all you need. Also the option of hot breakfast for a reasonable price is very a propos.

This hostel I stayed at on my short 3 day visit to Budapest. I highly recommend this hostel. It is a great atmosphere in a former Cold War building painted colorful and the place is dedicated to the arts aside from accommodation. They hold dance and music classes for locals, and they give patrons the opportunity to paint on the... More

The kitchen was well equipped and the staff were friendly enough. I had difficulty with the wifi from both of the different dorms I stayed in and had to use the main room which isn't the end of the world either. My main qualm was this- THE LIGHTS! The lights around the hostel turn off automatically after a very short... More

Dear Casa Guest! We are very glad to hear you enjoyed your stay in the Casa! We are sorry about the inconvenience regarding the lights, the reason for that is that we are trying to be as green as possible and as we have a huge amount of light bulbs in the hostel, in the common areas we are trying... The hostel has a very nice ambiance. The staff is friendly and helped us out with booking train tickets, directions, etc. It's maintained well. The walls are bit thin, so you can hear any talk in the common area or on the streets; but we were not finicky about this. It's a 5-6 min walk from Astoria Metro Station. To... More

A very nice hostel to stay with relatively affording price. The staffs were really friendly and accommodating. I stayed in a twin bed room. It was absolutely fine, well equipped. Wifi doesn’t work properly in the room, but free access of internet is possible through desktop near reception. The kitchen is also nice. Location was superb. The nearest metro station... More

Very helpful staff to start with I was staying in a female dorm at the beginning, I had a little problem though that was totally outside of the hostel's responsibility, even though it was a female only dorm, my dorm mates always had guys in the room which was quite uncomfortable for me( they were 16 years olds on a... I’ve stayed in a reasonably large number of hostels around the world and I think it’s safe to say that this one is somewhere around the middle of the road. Positives: cost & helpful staff. Negatives: the bracket for the shower head in our bathroom was only half way up the wall. Having to hold the shower head up is... More

Dear Casa Guest, The shower head is fixed now in a perfect height easily accessible in any kind of hangover. We just hope you would have told us on the spot so we could have fixed it for you right there and avoid the 2 points minus in the ratings. We are happy you liked the Casa though, hope to... More

Pros - great value - friendly atmosphere - well-equiped kitchen - good reception service (friendly staff) - warm bedrooms - free wifi - complimentary tea and coffee Cons - the hotel is hard to find - the route to the hotel gets quite and dark at night - no elevator for heavy luggages - rather inconvenient and long walk to...
