I visited the hotel Novotel Katowice twice on business in April 2013. I always found obliging staff, clean room, comfortable bed and excellent breakfast. In my opinion, very good hotel for good price.

Good service, good breakfast. Bathroom's equipment was a bit lower level than expected for the hotel of this level (cheap disposable plastic cups, outdated hair-dryer). But the rest was pretty good. There is also a swimming pool and sauna.

Most of the Novotel hotels in Poland are ex Orbis hotels from the 80's. Rooms quite big, dated, but clean. Quite good location, but you'd need a cab to get there from the railway station. Nice, friendly staff. Beds really comfortable. Breakfast worth the price. Overall a really good value.
