Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I booked the two bedroom apartment, very clean and well equipped with all you need. The food and drink at the restaurant is lovely also and some of the staff do speak English, which was very helpful for us. The area is quiet apart from the workmen on the main tram street, the trams are not running as they are updating the whole road (Údolní) into town. There is the number 4 bus just at the top of the hill which takes you into town or it’s a good 40 minute walk to Mendel square. Would book again if visiting Brno, it’s near the planetarium and Spilberk castle.

We stayed there with 2 year old daughter and got a crib for her in the room, which was lovely. The area itself was very quiet. The room was quite spacious and comfortable. There is also safe and a mini bar in there for those that need it. However, as bed&breakfast goes, there was no kettle/tea/coffee available and you have to go to cafe outside to get it. Breakfast starts at 8 am (9am weekends), so if you need to get somewhere before you will miss it. Also, some of the neigbours were smoking and the smell travelled through aircon to our room no.2.

If you get to Brno and need a place to stay this will not disappoint you! The rooms are very nice and clean. The breakfast is wonderful and the staff are great too. Parking is free on the street and that’s a treat as well. I am a walker so it was a great location for me. 25 minutes to the castle or the shopping area. Come on in you will be glad that you did!

I was in Brno 2 weeks ago with my daughter. I found this beautiful bed & breakfast in very quite part of Brno. Surrounded by villa's on a hill, but close to downtown. They redesigned building from 30' to bed & breakfast. Interiors are gently reworked. They have own cafe in groundfloor, where you can have a little snack too. For me it was very good choice. I can only recommend this place. It works for single, couple or family too perfectly. Finger up.

Second time we're staying at this excellent hotel. Great standard for a very reasonable price. Good communications to the city centre by tram. Great free WiFi. English-speaking staff. Grocery shop nearby (by the tram). Would definitely come back a third and fourth time. You won't get disappointed for sure.

Good B&B slightly out of the centre. The room was a good size but could have been a bit cleaner with a broom & feather duster being shown around but nothing off putting. There was what looked like a mattress protector on the bed with no bottom sheet but after staying in another B&B this seems normal for Czech. It's about a 20 min walk downhill to the centre but there are regular trams costing 20kc a go so no problem. Breakfast is served in the cafe and was very good with a freshly cooked option available. They will ask you what time you want breakfast so they can reserve a table as it gets busy. The staff were friendly & spoke enough English thankfully to get by. There's free on street parking.

This review is based on two 5-night stays in Klafe. The B&B is a fine haven as long as you're ok with the concept of no reception and no room staff. The waitresses take care of the check-in and that's pretty much it. They are very polite and try to help if you need something but they are more than busy in the cafe and you feel uncomfortable asking for anything. Besides, there are things they just don't know or aren't supposed to deal with. After closing hours there is noone to turn to at all. The accommodation feels more like a rented apartment (for someone who doesn't like to be disturbed by daily cleaning, this can actually be an advantage.) Pluses: - Nice and safe prominent neighbourhood - City centre and railway station easy to reach by tram no.4 (check dpmb.cz for their range of tickets) - Tastefully decorated rooms with adequate storage space and a minibar that can be used as fridge - Nice linen and complimentary bathroom products (but bring your richest body oil as the Brno water will dry you up!) - Free and reliable wifi - Breakfast cooked to order with quality coffee, freshly squeezed juice and several sweet and savoury options, such as fried eggs on bacon or fresh fruit salad with yoghurt - Polite staff and quick service in the cafe Minuses: - No room cleaning, fresh towels or toilet paper in six days (and you don't feel exactly comfortable asking for a roll of toilet paper at the bar in front of all the guests) - No reception staff to deal with room-related issues - The rooms could use a new coat of paint and although the important spots (bed, bathroom) were reasonably clean, the room could do with some thorough cleaning - it felt rather dusty, with neglected windows and blinds, cobwebs here and there, limescale in the shower etc. - Cold room - Credit card payment officially possible but the terminal is often out of order- better prepare cash unless you want to travel downtown and back looking for ATM. - Limited parking - Cafe closed on Sunday mornings so no served breakfast - rather unfortunate for a B&B and disappointing if you want to treat your other half to a nice get-away and fail to read this on the website. To sum up, it feels like the owners did a great job renovating the villa and launching a successful cafe, but they are not exactly bothered by daily care for their customers' comfort and just let things run, hoping nobody needs anything.

Although this B&B comes with close to no service and the room is compact, they are all well managed. You'll have a comfy stay at a more than reasonable cost. It's located at a residential neighbourhood, yet conveniently located, not far from the city centre, Breakfast is served at the cafe downstairs, very very decent. The cafe seems to be a very popular hangout at the neighbourhood.

I had to come to Brno for medical issues, and this B&B is 5min drive from my clinic UNICA. So every time I car here, and this is my 4th time ! Really, every time, we enjoy it. The beautiful room (try the n3, with a balcony :)...), well furnished, the free wifi, the lovely bathroom and, the top of the top, the coffee shop downstairs. Yes, the breakfast, as was told, is not a "buffet", but you can choose a very great coffee (the kind you want..), a FRESH squeezed juice (orange, Apple, carrot..), eggs or omelette & ham or muesli or FRESH fruits salad, and a big basket of bread with jam, honey and their amazing cheese... Everything is fresh, most of times organic, and homemade... So really, take a sit, and enjoy... And plan to have cash to pay the room, the credit card is often broken ^_^ ...
