My husband and I honeymooned here 6 years ago and stopped by for a trip down memory lane while in Rincon for the day.We did not sleep or eat here....we mostly stopped to see if the "jacuzzi" was still unheated and unbubbly....yep! The furniture around the pool has been updated, but the eating area remains the same. The beach is... More

Casa islena: it is picturesque from the moment we pulled up we saw the glorious ocean pushing 6 foot waves to shore- a sound that instantly makes the harshest heart soften. The entrance to casa Islena was BEAUTIFUL- the courtyard with birds and butterflies, a glorious swimming pool very well maintained allowed us to hang out on breezy warm nights... More

We enjoyed our brief weekend getaway to Rincon, PR, staying at Casa Islena. The Inn is right on the ocean and you can hear the waves all day long. The view is awesome! The grounds are very quaint and very clean as was our room. There was a continental breakfast which was very convenient, though average. Would have liked to... More

This is a wonderful small inn located on a beautiful beach. From the moment you step inside the gates a sense of tranquility will come over you. The public areas are filled with comfortable outdoor furniture where you can curl up and read or relax while taking in the sounds of the waves. The pool area is lovely and well... More

Wonderful place with wonderful staff. Simple but beautiful & spacious rooms with an amazing view. The Tapas Bar served great food and drinks. Will definitely go back there! More

What a delightful little hotel/country inn!! We traveled there in July of 2010 - my husband 14 year old son and I. It was a bit hard to find, but eventually we did. This hotel is rather small, is not a chain (important to us), and has marvelous service! Everyone was extremely polite and accommodating!! Breakfast was continental -- cereal,... More

We spent 2 weeks at Casa Islena and loved it. Our room was upstairs oceanfront. We thought the location was great and the view was wonderful. We enjoyed the tapas restaurant and the staff was friendly. Some of the rooms do appear to be much smaller, but the ones down by the pool looked nice. It was pretty full while... More

I will preface my comments by saying that this is not a resort. If you are expecting loads of amenities, upscale furnishings and a 24 hour front desk., you will be disappointed. I believe there are only 9 rooms on the property and, understandably, there is not a huge staff. We just returned from our 2nd visit to Casa Islena,... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are charming, spacious and well appointed-tastefully but not lavishly furnished. The pool sits next to a beautiful, golden-sand beach, lined with palms and almond trees. The view is incredible. Although the beach in front is rocky, a very nice sandy beach for swimming is just steps away. The restaurant at the inn is... More

Unless you want to pay $200 a night for a moldy, shabby room with a spectacular view of the garbage heap out back. We arrived here at about 6:00 PM on a Monday to this ghost town of a hotel. There was no staff on site--no manager, no security. The front gates of the hotel had no locks (even though... More
