A very pleasant hotel with very welcoming and helpful personnel. Has a lovely calm setting and the bed was very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel without any hesitation. Our room looked out onto a beautiful blossom filled tree.

only 4-5 minutes drive from la cite is this excellent chateau. large modern rooms within a traditional looking house. very good quality regarding bathrooms, matresses, wooden objects. Spent four nights in this beautifully renovated village castle, some 10' drive from the splendid fortified cité de Carcassonne. I had heard about this new restaurant "S comme" in the grounds of Chateau de Palaja and wasn't disappointed. Lovely decor, good friendly service, and wonderful food. Run by two Belgian brothers, a great addition to dining options for anyone looking for a special evening out in Carcassonne.
