The Decca is a former radio navigation station located in the remote, but interesting northernmost part of Lewis - make a short walk to beautiful, rugged beach and do visit the sensational lighthouse here. My room was very pleasant, the wi-fi was fast, the homemade food tasted delicious. But more than this, there's contact with the owners, Louise and Pete.... More

I was part of a pilgrimage group of 18 that stopped at The Decca for lunch while sightseeing nearby. We had soup and homemade bread that was delicious. You can bet I went back for seconds! And there was more than enough to go around. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. The common rooms were very nice and comfortable. I... More

This is the second time I've enjoyed the fabulous hospitality of Pete and Louise. In March, a group of us spent the day at the Decca for a quiet retreat of meditation. We had full use of the sitting room, the dining room, and one of the cottages. We couldn't have been more comfortable and looked-after. We were given a... More

We stayed 2 nights with friends and our 2 dogs. The hosts, Louise & Peter, were very friendly and welcomed us into their home. The cooking was delicious and included homemade breads and jams with our cooked to order breakfast. The Isle of Lewis is extremely remote, but the Decca is situated very close to some really gorgeous sites: Europie... More

We have just returned from 3 glorious nights at The Decca where Louise and Peter were superb hosts throughout and were most attentive. The Decca sits just a short walk away from one of the most glorious beaches I have ever seen (Europie Beach) and is ideally placed to explore the north of the Isle of Lewis. Louise's cooking is... What a lovely stay i had in the Decca B&B. I arrived late but they had asked if i wanted food when i booked, so was greeted with a fantastic meal followed by Apple Crumble and Custard-comfort food at its best! Room lovely and warm, and family make you very welcome indeed-i didn't want to leave! I will be back.

Great place to stay and attend basket making workshops and even to pick up that handy smattering of Gaelic. I particularly appreciated the attention to cooking for our vegan and veggie group members, so often overlooked or sidelined. I had to join them to sample all of the superlative home baking.

We got diverted from a different BB to Louise and Pete's DECCA and liked it a lot. Staying for a week and in all kind of weather (as far as possible in August) we enjoyed the quiet, windy and remote location, the beautiful beach, just behind the dunes, visible from the bedroom window a lot. In one of the two... More
