While largely a campground with caravans and tents, an adjacent area has a few chalets. We stayed in a chalet. It was simple, but very comfortable. There is a dining area adjacent to the campground. The menu is limited but completely adequate.

We stayed for only one night in October, as it was very quiet & not in the height of the season as expected some of the amenities we closed & lookout points were out of bounds for renovations. We had a motorhome and the campsites were nothing more than a dust bowl. Terribly overcrowded like sardines, noisy and very uncomfortable. Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't stay there again. After our stay in Kakadu NP, we had 2 night in a Nitmiluk chalet. It was a very nice experience: the chalet was very clean, we had full cooking equipments, surrondings were quiet, got free breakfast and people were friendly.This was a perfect place to discover Katherine Gorge (by kano ;) )

Just arrived at nitmiluk chalets or really caravan park cabins....very nice only basic but so quiet and right at the gorge where the cruises depart the chalets are only new and very very clean im surprised how comfortable they are as a person who only does 5 star I love them please stay here it is without doubt the best...
