The staff are friendly and helpful. Being located in one of the newly refurbished rooms, we found everything quite comfortable. The room don't really provide eating space for 2 people to dine in. The lighting is awful. The bedside lamps are hopeless, and the bathroom lights you could light up a lighthouse with - not good at 2am. We spent... More

Have stayed at this hotel a number of times and I think it's probably the best one in Launceston. The breakfast buffet is good and the room we had on the 6th Floor was comfortable and reasonably spacious. They do a few funny things there (eg close the bar fairly early regardless of how many customers they have), and they... More

A traditional hotel in the city and close to many eating places. Parking is just next door. Staff are professional and the rooms are tidy. The lighting for reading is dim but the rooms are roomy and well presented. Just a short walk out the back and you are in the centre of the town. Beware! Do not try to... More

Staying in a hotel for a week can often be claustrophobic but I found the room to be quite spacious and comfortable. Although the separate dressing room freed up the room from luggage and clothing, it lacked shelving. The reading lights were also too dim. If it wasn't for the lack of shelving and reading lights I would have provided... More

Stayed here on our way to Hobart for business. We didn't realise how busy Launceston was going to be that weekend or we would have booked ahead. Staff were helpful & accommodating at reception - as we had tried several other hotels with no success. We were fortunate to get one of the recently refurbished rooms facing Cameron St and... More

Stayed here for work and was impressed with the room. The room had 2 double beds and was neat and tidy. Paid $124 and this is good value in this location. I would stay here again and was happy with the service. Didn't use any of the facilities but the menu looked reasonable in the restaurant.

stayed for 1 night on our way to cradle Mountain. The hotel has a dated & tired decor. Our room was spacious & the bed comfortable. However we were disappointed with the availability of room service meals. We arrived late & the only options were pizza or wedges or a garden salad that consisted of lettuce leaves & 2 small tomatoes... More

Stayed just one night on a quick business trip to Launceston. This hotel was easy to find, well located, well priced and had everything I needed for a business visitor. The hotel was busy with Targa Tasmania visiting (didn't know that when we booked) but even so the service we received was attentive, professional and friendly. The rooms had plenty... More

Stayed for work as it was close to the office. Check in process friendly and efficient and pillow menu was good. Other than that the rest was average. Noisy portable air conditioners just don't cut it and the room while clean was very tired. Took forever to get the hot water temp right and strangely only one water glass in... More

The room was lovely, and it was also central. At one end of the street there was City Park (a park that also had a monkey enclosure), and on the other end you had the shops. We stay in refurbished rooms (2 night and 2 night stays- beginning and end of our holidays). They were lovely and clean, and staff... More
