Read about this on trip adviser so made a point of getting here for the tapas and it is all great. Wine list is small but good. Higy recommend this for site. Didn't stay but I'm sure it would be excellent

The Royal Exchange Hotel is a treasure to stay in whilst visiting Broken Hill NSW. Warmly welcomed by the staff on arrival, the hotel has a grand aura of old world charm. My room was very clean, comfortable and practical making efficient use of storage. Delightful curtains enhanced the atmosphere of the room. Breakfast was well presented, varied and impeccable... The Royal Exchange Hotel is conveniently located in the middle of town. Beautifully restored, the hotel is charming. The room was clean, bed comfortable, my only issue was the beeping from the traffic lights, which are just down stairs. I totally recommend the restaurant for a first class meal as well.

Very nicely restored hotel in a very central location. Secure parking unavailable on site, however, we were given parking within walking distance. Verandahs were accessible to all & provided great street views.

Friday night Tapas in this beautifully restored old hotel. Lovely comfy couches, excellent wine list and interesting and good quality tapas. Not a surprise though as we had dinner in this gorgeous place earlier in the week. Best place in Broken Hill for an elegant night out with good service, food and wine. I can only imagine how cosy this... More

The Royal Exchange is a beautifully restored heritage hotel in the centre of town. Old work charm dining and lounge area with piano bar Friday and Saturdays. The room was quite small, as expected in this type of hotel. It was beautifully furnished with tasteful soft furnishings in the heritage style. King size bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was modern,... More

My wife & I stayed at this Hotel for 4 nights in July 2012. The Hotel was a very pleasant place to stay and in a great location. It is very close to the Railway Station and the Coach terminal. The room was clean and spacious with nice decor. I did find the morning staff a bit unfriendly but other... More

Apart from the document consisting of one half page of dense and extremely fine print that was handed to us for our signature upon check-in, we enjoyed our stay in this lovely hotel. Perfectly located and with very comfortable (if smallish) rooms and with nice breakfasts that represent good value ($10 for continental style which includes excellent coffee and toasts),... More

Selected this hotel from the Lonely Planet guide book and were very pleased we did . . . It's a historic building right in the centre of Broken Hill and has been tastefully modernized so the rooms have all the amenities one would expect from a good 4-star hotel. We had a superior room on the first floor which meant... More

Stayed here for work and really liked the lovely old building. Grand staircase and nice enough room (if a little small). Very little space to put anything or get the ironing board out etc. Breaky was nice and the breakfast room again was lovely and had a nice feeling about it. Although another group of people came in after us... More
