An apartment with stunning views across the lake, never tired of these views which changed hourly and daily. The apartment was spacious and well equiped with a small balcony from which the views could be enjoyed and where you could sit outside to do so. Only hitch was no hot water one evening which was sorted when reported. More

Stayed here for 3 nights - what can I say. First of all, the views are absolutely stunning over Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables. The small price you pay for this is being about a ten minute walk from town, part of which is uphill, but it's not a difficult walk at all and is well worth it for the... More

Stayed for 3 nights over Easter and loved our time in Queenstown and the views from our 1 bedroom apartment were stunning. We had a good kitchen so we ate in every evening as we loved looking out over the lake and mountains. On the down side - no room service, no reception when we arrived and had to call... More

Opened the door and was, as they say in 'Corrie', "Gobsmacked"! By far the best accommodation we had in our 3 week trip around NZ. Every facility was provided and unobtrusive service. A short walk down to the Town centre, slightly longer one back although the lift to the 5th Floor in 'Peppers' on the waterfront saved the legs a... More

When we checked into 205a, a studio, we thought what a great room. Light, with fantastic views of the lake and well equipped with good furniture. But it went downhill from there. A blanket on the bed was dirty with the product of a previous occupants evening(!), the balcony hadnt been swept for ages, the soap dish was hanging off... More

Pros: - Completely agree with other reviewers that the view is the wow factor for these apartments - the position up on the hill gives you many photo opps over the lake and mountains from your living room or balcony. - The apartment was well kitted out with a full kitchen, dishwasher, laundry and TVs in both the living room... My husband and I got a great rate at the Breakfree Highview for 3 nights in a 1-bedroom apartment at the end of January. At $135 per night (which was for a minimum 2-night stay), it ended up being the cheapest, but most enjoyable, accommodation of our 10-day South Island trip. The rate didn't seem to be available for long... More

We booked a two bedroom apartment (#305 a and b, on the top floor) for our four night stay, and overall were pretty happy with our choice. On the plus side: - Yes, the view is SPECTACULAR, probably the most picture-postcard view of any place I have ever stayed. Even though we were there in summer, Queenstown was in the... More

I was sceptical when I read Highview's claims that every aprtment has a view of the lake (esp. given the bargain rate we booked at), but it's true. Our apartment was clean and fresh, with a great kitchen and, of course, an amazing view of Lake Wakatipu and the mountains that surround it. Highview is a little way from the... More
