Stayed at Amber Lodge for 5 nights.The room had a great view and was serviced daily.The hosts were friendly and helpful and the close to town location suited us.We would have no hesitation at staying there again

Stayed there just one night, but would definitely go back for a longer stay. Very close to center of town. We were upgraded for some reason from a one-bedroom to a two bedroom suite - really was a huge apartment with fully equipped kitchen and a balcony over looking the mountains and the town. Incredible deal.

location is very good.it's close to all the attractions. however very basic rooms..and the cleanliness was an issue bcos we had to repeatedly request the staff to lean our rooms .but for the price it's still a good value proposition.

Returning after 2 years we found Amber Lodge as friendly and helpful as ever. Any info needed is given freely with a smile and alternatives offered if requested. Room was clean tidy had a great view in easy walking distance to the town centre yet quiet to get a good nights sleep. Cannot fault it.

Our room is close to the road. It is noisy in the early morning. The facilities are too old. The heater cannot works properly and the washing machine is also out of date. The good thing is several minutes to the town center.

By no means new or fancy! But friendly management, well-maintained rooms, and only a block from downtown. With affordable tariff. When I booked this hotel I had read all the reviews and thought how bad could it be? It wasn't bad at all, the rooms had every thing you needed, a supermarket just down the road . We knew we were going 'average' when we booked Amber Lodge but it's what I expected. We had a pleasant enough stay, the owners are lovely and we had a good laugh together! We stayed here for 8 nights , rooms are great size, clean ,and warm location is perfect on the end of the main street just a walk to all the restaurants , shops and pubs the staff here are hands down the best so welcoming and helpfull we have just returned home and have already booked again for next year...
