A hidden gem in Dunedin, Fletcher Lodge is out of the main city centre but still only a short walk to the octagon (city centre). The house is immaculate, filled with victoriana and each room is unique with its own identity. The bedrooms are huge with everything you can want, and if you miss anything there is a small tea... Having just cycled the Otago Central Rail Trail from Clyde to Middlemarch over 6 days and experienced a ride on the Taieri Gorge Railway, one of the World’s Great Train Journeys, we arrived in Dunedin pretty tired. What a joy to be welcomed so warmly at the Fletcher Lodge by Ewa and Keith who left no stone unturned to make... More

This was one of the best lodges we stayed in in New Zealand. It was like a stately home which indeed it was when it was first built. All the rooms were beautifully furnished and our bedroom was large and well equipped. We. stayed over Easter and on Easter Sunday the breakfast table was specially laid with each place having... Fletcher Lodge, owned by Ewa and Keith, is a treasure trove of lovely Victoriana, the coloured windows glass, with the original window furniture are just lovely. Ewa's garden a joy to behold, I found it most interesting to compare the variety of flowers, with the garden at home in UK. Breakfasts were friendly, with a great choice, and Ewa so very... More

What a wonderful place to stay! Like going back to the Victorian era. The Lodge has been beautifully maintained. We stayed in the wonderful Edinburgh Suite. Keith and Ewa were very friendly and helpful hosts. We appreciated advice on sightseeing and restaurants. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay there again if we return to Dunedin.

This B&B spreads over an original Victorian House, another house next door, and some apartments above, up the hillside. The owner-operators, Ewa and Keith, are among the nicest people you could meet, and they will do anything to make you welcome. The rooms varied a lot among our group, some in one part, others elsewhere in the complex. While nicely... More

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful - superb comfort - brilliant hosts - great breakfasts. Fletcher Lodge is amongst the very best accommodation available in NZ - trust me - after you have stayed with Ewa and Keith you will never want to stay in a Hotel again. Over the years we have stayed here, we have sampled all the rooms and I... More

What a little gem this property is! We arrived to a very warm welcome from Ewa. The house is an absolute gem. It is very reminiscent of an English Victorian gentleman's country house. The room was absolutely lovely, and the breakfast equally so. We were very pleased with the tourist help (e.g. where to visit in Dunedin, and where to... More

This is a lovely old home with beautiful antiques. however our particular room was far from luxurious and was probably formally the servant's room...small and dark. The hosts were extremely accommodating. Its location is a short but steep walk up from the center of the city and unfortunately the neighborhood is a mixed bag...a lot needs major restoration. Dunedin was... More

This place should be no.1 on tripadvisor for Dunedin. It was the most luxurious accommdation we stayed in, in a month in the south island. We booked at short notice for one night in the 2 br apartment on new year's eve, and wished we could stay longer. The apartment is huge, perfect for a family of 4, beautifully decorated,... More
