I arrived in Paihia late one winters night. I was cold, fed up with driving, tired and I had no idea what accommodation was available. I was told about the Twin Pines Tourist Park because it was the best valve for money and is in a great location. When I arrived Dick and Kate (the owners) made me feel so... More

We had a lovely stay at Twin Pines. The facilities exceed our expectations and were maintained to a high standard. Everything had it's place and instructions helped the place run smoothly. The staff were super friendly and really willing to go out of their way to help. We stayed in a cabin which I found basic but covered most of... More

We made a three month round trip with our two little children, a van and a tent. Twin pines was our first destination after arriving in Auckland. Dick and Kathy, the manager, were so absolutely friendly and the place was so clean and in a good shape! Our kids loved the trampoline, and we liked the sound of that river.... More

We originally planned to stay just one night here, but we liked it here so much being able to hide away from the rain inside on the comfy sofas in the lounge and cook in the large spacious kitchen. We didn't stay in the cabins as we chose instead to stay in our converted campervan and it is so much... More

We arrived in Paihia to as the locals called it an (un-seasonal down pour) but despite the first few days of our stay at Twin Pines being very wet we all had a fun time in our cabin, which had everything you'd want or need!!! The children met and played with other children and despite the business of the place... More

We stayed in a two bedroom familiy unit as it wasn't that expensive. There was a decent-sized lounge/dining room and even the bathroom was big.It was all very clean and well-presented. Definitely the best holiday park we stayed at on our tour of the North Island. Interestingly there was a sign on the wall requesting that people don't cook fish... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in September 2011. After roughing it for a few weeks around N.Z. we were looking for some home comforts. After a very long day driving we stumbled across this campsite and we are very pleased that we did. The communal area was spotless with a great kitchen and lounge area. The grounds were well... More

Hi Philippa. I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay here, and I agree that it is a luxury not having to make and unmake your bed every night. We make sure that the camp is like a home away from home and that people are relaxed and revived when they leave here. All the best to you. Kindest... More
