OWB is located on aberdeen street in northbridge. It's a very great place for the nightlife. I'm a in 4-bedroom without window, there is a fan but it's doesn't work very well. The kitchen and bathroom are clean. Steve, the manager, is nice but when arriving your rent day, he become very boring : "You must pay today" one time,... More

I stayed in 6 bed female dorm. Most of the girls were staying in Perth working and were really friendly. Its true the dorm had no window in the wall but there was an electronically controlled skylight. Open it for air an freshness! Everyone at the hostel was really friendly and staff were incredibly helpful and always made themselves available.... More

On entering the hostel it was lovely to see fresh flowers in reception. The hostel is clean and welcoming with a happy ambiance. The kitchen is closed for cleaning twice per day and the breakfast is a huge bonus. Stayed in the double en-suite room for four nights (flowers here too). It can get noisy at nights during the weekend, but... More

I have stayed in over 100 hostels around Australia, and this was the worst. I booked a girls only room. Upon entry, it was disgusting. Mess everywhere from the other girls, and smelt awful. There were old sheets left on my bed, but I sorted that and after dinner, I got into bed to watch a movie. Twice, a girl... More

Impressed by the cleanliness of the hostel. Not a big place but friendly enough and good location. Staff were helpful. Good sized kitchen and lounge with plenty of dvds on offer if you just want to chill out. Breakfast is included which is a bonus but have to provide your own milk which is annoying. Its a hostel, so its... More

The backpacker is situated across a park - nice for lunch, not so great at night with some drunk indigenous occupiers. The rooms are ramshackled, the people living in them often noisy, but very friendly. So is the staff, which makes up for it's down sides. Free breakfast is a plus!

After being disappointed by another hostel in the vicinity, my experience here was refreshing. The rooms were spacious and clean, and people generally kept to their own spaces. There was a friendly and relaxed atmosphere (I thought I was back in Albany), and I got to know some nice people. Yeah, the legendary "drinking table" was there but I had... More

This was the best hostel I stayed at in Australia. I stayed back in April to June '08, only getting around to writing a review now! Rooms were fine, I got bedbugs in one, which happens in hostels, and the staff were first rate, got everything out the room, fumigated and cleaned ASAP, and the problem solved. Staff were mainly... My stay was generally good with some 'argh' moments. The crowd is generally into partying quite a lot. There's a table where the drinks don't cease. It's good to be at that table if you love to drink - till late. During my stay, most people would turn in by midnight. Otherwise, there's another spot out front that is quieter... More
