First of all, the reviews on here are pretty much all spot on based on what I experienced staying at 43 Caroline St. But, to be honest, when you pay less than $100 a night for somewhere in South Yarra, luxury isn't on the cards. 43 Caroline is based in an actual apartment block where people pay rent to live... I wish I had read the Tripadvisor reviews before staying here as they are totally accurate. Horrible 1 bedroom apartment with filthy venetian blinds and awful bathroom. There's nothing good about this place. Dirty, smelly, tired, uncomfortable and totally lacking in privacy. Listed as "executive" accommodation we walked in and were instantly depressed by how shabby and poorly furnished it was.
