Good experience to stay in a "cave" in coober pedy , the proper way.... Very good for the price, not a 5 star hotel but of course it isn't for the price and quirkiness . Comfortable and kitchen to cook meals, not to far out of town centre, nice and quiet

Dilum sounds like the guy who on both nights, paid for 11 people, but really had 15 people staying in the two rooms - Tony did not charge for these extra people on either night but did charge a one only, small additional fee to cover basic cleaning cost ... We stayed 22nd and 27th of Dec in two 3 bedroom apartments. Both apartments were dirty. Bathrooms hasn't been cleaned. Kitchen area and the bathroom area full of cockroaches and ants. After 3 stays here I can recommend the Desert View for those people who like honest hospitality, plenty of space and reasonable prices. The rooms here are 2 bedroom apartments rather than motel rooms. Plenty of space to spread out. They also have kitchens if you want to cook. Enjoy the silence and cool of staying underground.

We have visted Coober Pedy a number of times and always check out the accommodation prices and options but each time the desert view is the best value.
