It was a pleasant stay. Fraser island is fantastic but it rained most of the time when we were there. Hotel needs renovations, but otherwise staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were adequate, swimming pool was great and it was very good value.

We spent 10 days at this beautiful resort in May. It was dark when we arrived so we couldn't really appreciate the view until the next day. And we weren't disappointed. Every building blended into the surroundings with the exception of the hotel reception area. We were settled into our room within the hour and the staff in the reception... More

Kingfisher Bay Resort is set in a beautiful location, amongst trees and wildlife, the Jetty hut a perfect spot to sit and enjoy the sunset while the kids played by the water. The walking tracks very cute and suitable for kids, the restaurants and pubs all had nice meals, the Sandbar was more reasonably priced and meals were quite nice... More

The Resort is really beautiful, and the way it compliment s the natural beauty of the Island is very well done. The fine dinning restaurant is very good, but not worth the money, the food was served on cold plates, which should have been hot considering the way they present the food, the meat was over cooked, and the Sourdough... My wife and I stayed at Kingfisher Bay Resort for 3 nights over the June Long Weekend. We have stayed here before and will definitely be back again in the future. We love Fraser Island with its natural beauty and all it has to offer and Kingfisher Bay Resort is by far the best place to stay on the island.... More

Everything is lovely in this resort. However, if you are a light sleeper like me, be careful to choose a room which is not in the middle of, or underneath of other rooms since the buildings are all built with wood, the noise from other rooms can hardly be blocked. Especially when someone is living above you, you can hear... More

We stayed here for Queens Birthday weekend and had got a good deal through groupon - I wouldn't have wanted to pay full price, but so saying if you want to stay on Fraser Island there is not a lot of choice. While I realise we were there in off-season there is a lot they could do to make this... More

My partner and I spent two nights at Kingfisher Bay Resort over a long weekend 8th to 10th June 2013. Overall we had a good stay. Fraser Island and the area around the resort is beautiful, lots of great walking tracks and beautiful beach scenery. The resort itself is quite dated and really needs a face lift. The rooms would... We're at Kingfisher Bay on Queens Birthday holiday weekend in 2013. We knew that this will cost us a lot of money, considering it's a holiday destination and it's on the island, but we prepare for it. We choose an adventure package which is include 2 nights of hotel room, breakfast, the ferry ride for 2 and the beauty spot... More
