We were really happy with our stay at this park. Really good facilities (although the tiled floors were a bit slippery in the heavy rain) and camp kitchen with SPOTLESS bbqs, gas cookers, fridges toasters kettles and laundry. We stayed in the wet season and unfortunately the wet tropics Ives up to their reputation, so whilst the park was lovely... More

My wife and I stayed here in a camper. It lies off the main road 7 km from Port Douglas itself, just far enough off the road to avoid any traffic noise. The site is well maintained and the facilities spotless. We were there in the rainy season and they sprayed regularly, which kept the bugs under control. The best... More

Probably the best Caravan park we have been in Australia. Due to the Staff who was caring a lot about they guest needs, such as the barbeque area cleaning (spottless) and the way they plant the trip in the way that suits as better! Thank you

Located off the highway, 7 km fromPort Douglas close enough but still quiet. all sites are pretty close to amenities block and the pool. The girl at the office - Delphine - was extremely helpful, it was a nice change from some other parks we've been to. They are with BIG4 so you get your welcome pack with all the... More

We stayed for 2 nights in a powered site (own campervan) and were so impressed with the atmosphere of the park. Everyone was super friendly and the pool is fantastic. It's also very clean - camp kitchen, showers, toilets. Although we arrived late, the staff accommodated us and even guided me as I backed in the van. Can't wait to... More

Firstly, this is the most expensive park we have stayed in for a long time and after coming from Crystal Cascades (the friendliest Big 4 we've ever stayed at) in Cairns we were very disappointed with the negative attitude we received from the office. The unhelpful touring advice was noted and make sure you check out the book exchange policy.... More

We stayed at an unpowered site in our campervan for 3 nights and loved it. The sites were shady and well-maintained. The amenities were clean, and we made good use of the laundry, camp kitchen, and showers. There's a nice little pool, again in a shady area, so it's a great place to cool off. I also let my inner... Recently spent 8 nights on a lovely spacious Powered Site. Our Caravan is 22 feet long and the site allowed easy access in and out of our site. Customer Service was exceptional. Staff were more than helpful and recommended several tourist attractions, offering to book on our behalf. The Swimming Pool and surrounds were exceptional. Loved the Water Slide and... More

The parks managers and staff could do well to learn how to put a system in place in order to ensure that the parks gardens are maintained & grass areas mowed in a timely manner. Our site had not been mowed before we arrived even though it had not been used in the preceeding days. Sandflies & mozzies are thick... More

I am sorry your stay in our park was not as enjoyable as we would have hoped. It sounds like you may have arrived just after rain. It takes 2 men 2 full days each & every week to mow our extensive lawns covering over 10 acres of gardens, unfortunately after rain this regular routine gets interrupted on occasion while... More

Stayed here for three days, the toilet/shower blocks and camp kitchen area were nice and clean. Very close to the Daintree Rainforest so much so the lush gardens were teaming with "mozzies" I use a strong deet repelent but stopped counting at 22 bites. This was the most expensive site we stayed at as we travelled down the East Coast... More

Experience all BIG4 Glengarry Holiday Park, Port Douglas and surrounds have to offer while enjoying the gorgeous weather of the tropics. We all need time out now and again whatever the weather, so discover the breathtaking northern tropics of Australia in our "GREEN SEASON" months at Port Douglas (December to March). The "GREEN SEASON" is often dramatic, wildly beautiful and eagerly awaited by our tropical rainforests. Without our annual rainfall, there would be no rainforest and, as many visitors discover, our ‘Liquid Sunshine’ doesn’t usually interfere with diving, snorkeling or touring. The climate is seductive. Balmy days dissolve into tropical evenings. The tropics are a feast for the senses whether we have summer showers or warm sunshine during Winter. If all this is not enough, only 40 minutes drive to the south is Cairns with its shops, movie theatres, restaurants and beautiful Esplanade lagoon. ... more   less
