I stayed here for one night in January 2012. Transfers by boat with Great Adventures were included. The Island was busy with day trippers until the last boat departed at 4pm then there was only a few hotel guests left. Cocktails were arranged for us at a great spot for viewing the sunset which was brilliant. The rooms are huge... More

This resort has just about everything going for it. The location is fantastic, nature at it's best. The front desk and staff are polite, attentive, efficient. The rooms are comfortable, clean with good atmosphere. Trip to the outer reef was well organized. Restaurant excellent. For sure, it is an expensive place, but no hidden costs. Honest value for your money.... More

Great Barrier Reef islands are notoriously expensive, for example Orpheus, Bedarra and Lizard. Green Island, however, even at its normal rates, while not cheap, is not too bad. We bought a package via the web which included catamaran transport to and from the Island, a trip to the reef, complete with underwater viewing from a semi-submarine for those not inclined... More

My husband and I stayed on Green Island for two nights to celebrate his birthday recently. The staff are wonderful, so friendly, chatty and fun. Our room was clean, big and comfortable, with a great comfy bed and all the little extras like bathrobes etc. The Island is a special place (especially when the day-trippers leave!) You get to check... More

My husband and I are locals and decided to treat ourselves to a night on Green island. The staff, amenities and rooms were all first class and we loved the sunset drinks on the beach (shame about the lame baskets of chips). We love to dine out and were looking forward to our meal at the restaurant. We were so... More

We spent 2nights at green island resort with our 2&4 year olds-we had a ball! From the glass bottom boat tours -we saw turtles, sharks, big fish and corals, to the crocodile farm where giant crocs are fed up close, and the fish feeding sessions. the service was impeccable from the pick up to the drop off -we will be... Ah the day trippers are not so bad... there is a resort pool just for in house guests anyway....but why would you swim in a pool when there is an entire island of beautiful beaches with turquoise water filled with fish and turtles?? We have two young boys and had a wonderful stay. The rooms are great, the food delicious... More

We stayed on Green Island for 4 nights during the height of tourist season. The only downside to the island, as other reviewers have noted, the massive amount of daytrippers that invade the island from about 10 am until 4 pm when the last boat back to Cairns leaves. I feel like the resort should try to limit the number... More

Dear Bostonsunworshipper, Amber, our activities officer certainly demonstrates what we all look for as customers - friendliness. I hope to see you back again one day soon. We fortunately survived Cyclone Yasi with only minimal vegetation damage so are open again and welcoming guests. Thanks for the feedback on our great team. Regards Lisa More

My adult son and I very much enjoyed our 4 night stay on Green Island. My main desire was to snorkel extensively...and that I did. The fish and some coral that can be seen only 50-100 metres off the beach made me instantly realise that I had made the right choice of holiday! I also swam with turtles and sting-rays... More
