Great atmosphere, professional & friendly service. Glad we included the buffet breakfast each day. Disappointed on the cleanliness of our room. Can't believe all the food trays left out the front of rooms for over 24hours. Couldn't ask for better service from all staff. Great having a shuttle bus that takes you everywhere around the resort, even though you can... More

This hotel is very comfortable to stay in. We had the best sleep! The staff couldn't do more if they tried. They were very accommodating. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. The restaurants were always busy, which is a good sign. At the front entrance to the hotel there is a beautiful gift shop. A very pleasant experience.... More

Of course a gorgeous location where you have a view of Uluru and Tata Kjuta. The rooms are spacious and clean, with gorgeous furnishings. The restaurant is pretty pricey, but as Sails is part of the Ayers Rock Resort complex, it is easy to walk over to the general store or one of the cheaper restaurants in the surrounding hotels.

We spent 2 nights here as part of our AAT Kings Red Centre tour. We arrived and our luggage was taken to our room. The reception team were very welcoming and we were soon on our way to our room. The Superior King room was lovely! Large, newly decorated with a lovely big balcony overlooking the pool. The bed was... More

We were greeted upon arrival by friendly staff and proceeded straight to our Superior room which was ready. It was located on the second floor facing the pool with a large balcony. The room was spacious and had a large bathroom. It was quiet, clean, the beds were very comfortable and the decor reflected the desert surroundings. The location was excellent... More

I really enjoyed my stay. My room was beautiful - furnished tastefully, bright, luxurious. Reception experience was great for me but my friend didn't fair so well. Her room wasn't ready and they kept her waiting for a number of hours! The Manager did apologise later which was good. The pool area is pleasant and the pool is sufficiently large... More

The hotel is great, good rooms with balconies etc. Although the staff were friendly and helpful I found them to be not that knowledgeable with regards to the hotel, maybe they are transient workers. We were told there were no rooms with a view of the rock, this was not the case as our room did. The reception staff sent... More

On arrival at1pm our room was not ready so we went to the pool. Service was poor, mediocre at best. Apart from the prime location, we would not stay there - the resort is tired and in need of a face lift.

I knew this hotel had undergone a big refurbishment programme recently so was looking forward to visiting again after what had been many years. The rooms are huge and I have to say absolutely stunning now with local art and beautiful decorative touches. The staff are very friendly and helpful too. Free wifi is available in the lobby but paid... More

The last time I visited Uluru I stayed at the Outback Pioneer Lodge in shared accommodation. This time I upgraded myself to Sails in The Desert. What I liked most about this move was having a large and comfortable room all to myself - with glimpses of Uluru from my balcony. But given that I spent very little time inside... More
