Purely due to location I would recommend YHA to anybody. Apparently Alice Springs only has a small 'safe' zone at night and YHA is the only hostel within this so we definitely felt most comfortable here. Stayed there twice so far in the 4-bed female room. Rooms and linen are very clean. Convenient location just 1 min walk to the shopping street. I didn't use the kitchen but looked clean and tidy. Classic YHA. A very comfortable hostel.

The room I was in was spacious enough with lock boxes under the beds. This meant that there wasn't much room between the bottom and top bunks. Bathrooms flooded as the shower wasn't sealed properly against the floor. Kitchen large and kept very clean. Central location, lots of people hassling you if you left the hostel in the late afternoon/evening.

This hostel is very clean like most of the YHA's. The stuff is super friendly and helpful. The location is lovely!!! It's 1 minute walk to the mall and the central square. I only stayed 2 nights, but I thought it was a great hostel.

Stayed a week in march at this lovely yha. Very friendly great location wonderful pool on hot days and nice sitting with a cold beer watching the films in the evenings! Clean safe happy place!

quiet hostel, excellent location. cleanliness of kitchen sometimes not great but good storage space for food in fridges. Air con in rooms is good but at times it is chilly!! saying that, you couldnt sleep without it. swimming pool small but very welcome due to the heat in this part of the world!!!
