I stayed there for 1 night. In spite of the discounted rate, Sofitel still accepted me for a very early check in before 7 am in the morning. Internet speed was good and the breakfast was also very good. Very good value for money.

Not as 'posh' as it makes out on an international scale. Rooms are average size, there is no free wireless Internet, which you'd expect from such a 'European' smart hotel. Went to a lot of trouble to make it a memorable occasion. Upgrade room, champagne, strawberries with chocolate. Good food in the restaurant. Position suited us well, close to Circular Quay and ferries and close to the historical buildings of Sydney.
