It was a spur of the moment decision to visit Canberra for the weekend(cricket washout). We stopped at the Canberra Information Centre and ask if they have any accommodation specials. They booked us into the Mantra at 1030 (very good rate plus an upgrade) and we were in the room by 1100. The Mantra is very close to all the... More

We arrived quite late on a Friday, after driving to Canberra straight after work, to enjoy the weekend away and visit the Renaissance exhibition. We booked through agoda.com, which I have used on numerous previous occasions. The booking was done approximately two weeks prior to our arrival. When we finally got to Mantra, it was after 10pm. The staff, two... More

We stayed for Three nights at The Mantra in Canberra The staff were very polite the service was excellent and the rooms clean without stinking of bleach. The manager took the time to point us to the local attractions and was quite an amusing character to say the least. More

I booked through hotels.com for two nights in the Mantra Northbourne Ave, Canberra. I had accrued 2 free nights on hotels.com, so this may be the reason I got the room I did -room 912. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and the cleaning staff did a great job with what they had but there was mould in the... More

The Mantra is well suited to travellers as it is 3 blocks from the CBD and Central Bus Station. I stayed there on a short visit to Canberra to see the Renaissance Exhibition at the National Art Gallery. For two adults we were given a one bedroom apartment, with a very comfortable queen bed for me and a double sofa... More

Stayed two nights early January 2012, woken up both nights by the Fire Alarm, people scurrying out of their rooms into the corridors. This problem has been going on for months, first night alarm went off around 10/10.30 pm, the second night at 3.00 am, rang the reception the first night, was told not to worry about it, the second... After being on the road for 9 hours, we phoned the Mantra to check they the restaurant would be open! I was booked into a one bedroom apartment by my employer and the room is quite spacious with a fully equipped kitchen, clean bathroom, washing machine and dryer. Mind you, parking for guests is not free and is subject to availability. Though the paid and limited hotel parking shocked me, what amazed me even more was the lack of free... More
