Our chalet was basic, with no air conditioning, which is what we had expected. It was newer than some of the other river lodges and was very clean and comfortable, and overall was to a perfectly acceptable standard, considering the location. Like most visitors we had come for the river safaris, which were excellent, we saw lots of wildlife including... More

This is a jungle lodge and I'm judging it as such. You do not go here and expect five star luxury. What you do get though is clean bug-free rooms, good home cooked food, friendly staff and wonderful wildlife on the various trips. We saw wild orang utans, pigmy elephants, more proboscis monkeys than you can count and much much... More

Visited this place twice and have to say, it is one of the most unorgettale places we have seen. Not too modern, just a basic, authentic jungle lodge. Food was good and pretty much in keeping with the experience. Slept like logs inthe cabins. Great atmosphere. Still think about it often.

Our visit to the riverside lodge was part of a 1 week group trip ( we also went to Abai jungle lodge and turtle island) - and it was a great experience. The accomodation is basic, but frankly, more comfortable than expected. the staff is really friendly, and our guides ( Junior, Remy and Jahja ) were super. They showed... More

My wife and I spent two nights here as part of are Borneo Jungle adventure. The rooms were better than we expected, with ensuite shower rooms. Food was again very acceptable buffet style local food (lots of prawns!). It has a spa my wife had a massage which she was very pleased with and was very cheap. The main lodge... More

I did not expect a lodge in the rainforest to have this level of service, so I'm positively surprised. Perfect place for river cruising to spot proboscus, elefants and orangutans. Food was average if you compare with civilisation but better than expected with several dishes every meal. No airconition but good fans and it wasn't really a problem even if... More

During our 4-day trip at the Kinabatangan River we spent our 3th night at this lodge. The first two nights we stayed at the Abai Lodge. We booked the customized 4-day package through S.I. Tours, who were really helpfull and professional. the package offered 3 boattrips a day including a private guide and boat. The lodge didn't give the same... More

We stayed here for one night as part of a 3 day tour, it was gorgeous, the rooms were comfortable and the staff were brilliant. We saw loads of wildlife and the guide was really knowledgeable. We watched a film in the evening after a fantastic meal. Wonderful stay wish we could have stayed for longer!

We stayed here for two nights in Nov. A little more up-market than the Abai Jungle Lodge ...it is much bigger and has more facilities. We even had massages - but don't say "yes" if they ask you if you want "candelling" ... it's some sort of thing that they put in your ear and it's supposed to be good... More

Stayed here for 1 night after going to Sepilok and was on a 4 day tour with SI Tours. The tour company and this lodge was fantastic. The setting was great and the welcome so warm. The men were asked to wear sarongs at dinner which made you feel included and part if an experience not just a room. The... More
