This place will feel very strange and exciting to a visiting european, but any north american that has stayed at a 1960's motel will not feel out of place. Built in 1966 and hardly touched since then! No AC or wifi, TV with 2 scratchy channels. Small windows that open or the main road. Running water not drinkable. Friendly owner....

Well, that's hard to explain, Motel Chantal is one of a kind.
Very very old fashioned, almost movie like on route 138.
It is clean, it is safe, it has what you need BUT it feels millions years old.
