Dropped in for a snack. The bar was unattended , the atmosphere was somewhat depressing and quiet. Good place for newspaper reading (my wife enjoyed it!). the grounds were well kept but the overall experience was not homely or inviting. Shame because it is a lovely location.

Stayed here for a weekend break in May 2013 for the first time. Check in was fine but would not let us into room before 3.00pm, even if room was ready. Pity after a long drive. Had a midweek break with my wife (2 nights B & B with one evening meal) all for E99/person. Food excellent, great views from dining room right on Lough Foyle, staff very friendly, bar service good, bedroom excellent, very comfortable lounge and a wonderful spa. Down points - bar has no atmosphere and bedroom was not cleaned until after 4PM.
