I found the hotel to be a nice, very comfortable, relaxing stay away from the hustle of Rome. It was a nice train trip to the hotel. But you probably won't want to walk from the train station to the hotel - either get a lift from the hotel concierge (small fee). It's very windy, but very nice views. Rooms,... More

I have been traveling to Frascati about 10 times a year for the last 11 years and often stay at Hotel Colonna or Antiqua Colonia. My travel office booked me for the first time into the Villa Tuscalona because it was the only hotel available for my 2 night stay in June. Where do I start. Room: Both the room... More

I stayed at this hotel for a conference. The hotel staff (other than the those at the registration desk) was polite and very accommodating from the waiters to the van drivers. I arrived a day earlier than the conference thinking I could enjoy the villa grounds especially the area by the pool, but was restricted since the grounds were being... More

thanks for your comment, rating and location of staff has been highly appreciated. as it was being held a meeting that filled the hotel, there was a shortage of rooms available to allow a change room that can satisfy the request. if the next trip we are committed to offer a superior room. thanks again G.G. Having spent 2 very adventurous Roman Holidays at the prehistoric Hotel Forum very close to the Colosseum the new destination was trepidation magnified. But as we drove towards the Villa atop winding ways and far removed from the bustle of the city a Magic wand whisked and lo and behold a dream-house materialized and the next 3 days have remain... We recently spent two nights at the Grand Hotel Villa Tuscolana and were very happy with our experience. The staff was always helpful and attentive. Our room was very clean and comfortable. During the time period, mid December, the weather was very very cold but our room was very comfortable. This was our second visit to the hotel and we... More

Sadly, I must join the throngs of dissatisfied visitors to the Grand Hotel Villa Tuscolona. Don't get me wrong: the hotel is gorgeous, the food was enjoyable, the grounds and views were breathtaking. But it's a little like slipping on a gorgeous dress - only to discover it is unbearably itchy. That's what indifferent customer service can do to a... More

Dear Mr /madam, first of all we thank you about the compliments to our hotel. Our hotel is located in a wonderful position and lots of guests choose this location just because of the view of Rome. But when they arrive, they discover that there is much else, like the quality of the food, the elegance of rooms, our wonderful... More

I cannot fault this hotel for cleanliness & being very charming. It is approx. 20 mins walk into the centre of Frascati & you might want to get a taxi home in the evenings as it is a bit tiring. The hotel is situated on the side of a very busy road, which is unfortunate as it leads to quite... More

Dear lailaharrylaila, I'm sorry if your stay was unpleasant. I had a meeting with the reception staff to discuss this inconvenience and try to figure out what happened. This look very shocking to me, as our staff is well trained, kind and very polite. This is the first time I hear a guest complaining about "vulgarity". I invite you to... More

Whilst the hotel itself if beautifully decorated and furnished, the rooms are not. They are extremely small with one free standing wardrobe and no shelves or drawers to store clothes and barely enough space for suitcases. Likewise no shelf in the bathroom for toiletries. Room overlooked courtyard where a disco took place one night until midnight. Reception staff were pleasant... More

Dear Hospitalier, I'm sorry if your stay was unpleasant. Please consider that our hotel is a Historical Venue with different rooms (size, view, etc.) and room assignment is usually made randomly. Our reception staff is very helpful and they are happy to move our guests in a different room if they don't like it without extra-price. I'm a little confused... More

The only reason this hotel stays in business is that the hotel, the grounds, and the view are absolutely breathtaking. The staff have a very bad attitude. Anytime I had a request they wanted to argue with me. I checked in I asked for a bigger room, a which they were reluctant to give me but finally agreed to to... More

My newly pregnant wife, 3-year-old daughter, and myself spent 10 days in Rome in late April 2009. For us, nightlife was out of the question. We were also looking for a dual experience (urban and country), and we are both interested in history and archeology. We chose the Grand Villa Hotel Tuscolana because it was outside of the bustle and... More
