I got a late spectator invitation to Bayreuth Festspiele with not a chance of finding lodging with walking distance of the venue. So a brewery and distillery with some 20 minutes driving had to do. They do make excellent beverages, the dunkel variety proving the best beer I have tasted anywhere and the schnapps were of the highest quality too....
