The first thing that struck me about this place was the beautiful smell of blossoming lemon trees and the view of Etna from our room...our stay was a true experience. All the food served at breakfast was from local produce. Silvio, the owner, is top class, he even gave us a mini tour of his orchard. Needless to say the... More

We visited Palazzo Giovanni because of the many positive reviews on Tripadvisor and it is indeed a special place. Silvio is a very friendly host who will try everything he can to make your stay a pleasant one. We were welcomed with some limoncello made from the lemons from the trees behind the house. Silvio then explained us the neighborhood... More

My mother, sister and I stayed here for two nights and it was fantastic. Silvio and his family were the best hosts and created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Silvio doesn't speak english but it wasn't a problem at all. As soon as we arrived (the parking is right across the street), we were treated to some homemade Limoncello on... More

We were four nights in this B&B hotel and we enjoyed very much. The atmosphere is very pleasant and relaxed place, Silvio the owner of the place gives you an exceptional service approach, for all intents and for all purposes he is available at any moment and this is realy admirable. Beautiful scenery, quiet, cozy rooms and good facilities, very... More

Palazzo is a great place to stay: very cosy old house, elegant decoration, large rooms, meticulously clean, big garden around, beautiful view on Etna from some rooms and the roof top(!) terrace, where the breakfast is served. The breakfast needs a special mention: delicious pastries, good coffee, confitures (made by the owner's wife), home made olive oil and dried tomatoes,... More

We only stayed one night but slept in a lovely room with a frescod ceiling. Breakfast was served with homemade juices and jams. Silvio's English, a bit like our Italian-almost non existant ,made us most welcome. A spiral staircase leads you to the terrace. In high summer when the adorning jasmine(only starting to blossom on our visit ) is in... More

During our journey all around Sicily we stayed at this amazing place for 2 nights. First surprise was the parking right under lemon trees! Silvio met us as if he's been waiting only for us, proposed us have some rest on his terrace with a view on Mt. Etna, offered us his own lemonchello and cherries, told about the excursion... More

Our experiences echo the other positive reviews. Palazzo Giovanni is a very special place to visit. Silvio and Alessandra are wonderful hosts. Every morning we were greeted by the tortoises who sunbaked on the flower-laden patio. The views of Mt Etna from the rooftop breakfast terrace are gobsmacking. The breakfasts themselves were delightful, and Silvio delivers fresh croissants and pastries... More

We stayed 3 days with Silvio in his beautifully finished family home beside the Village of Scillichenti near Acireale. Situated in a lemon grove, with the beautiful views of the Mediteranean Sea to the front, and Mt Etna to the back, the view from the roof top terrace was beautiful. Silvio went way out of his way to make our... More
