Stayed at the Ibis in January 2012. Its one hour from the Three Valleys where I was going and a good place to stop after a long drive from the Channel.
Rooms standard for an Ibis, breakfast good as usual and the hotel has its own car park and is away from the town. There are a number of eating...

since the novotel at chambery closed we have not stayed at this location (chambery)
But being at the bottom of the climb to the alps the night before your first night in resort has definite advantages for self drive holidays. This place is perfect, right next to the carrefour, to fill up with petrol etc and a pleasant hotel to...

A convenient IBIS location, friendly and efficient staff, complimentary use of computer in the lobby. IBIS has perfected the notion of hotel standardization and the essentials for business or leisure travelers. Restaurant is simple but moderately priced, breakfast is a real bargain and the service is excellent. The room, as ususal, is impecably clean. No frills, but everything is convenient,...

It was easy to find even my first visit to Chambery. Easy access from the high way. Lots of parking space in front of the hotel. Moderate room for the money. I will stay in Ibis the next time if I go to Chambery again.

Whilst the receptionist was willing to move us to 2 twin rooms, he criticised us for not specifying our requirements by...

But, the rooms are now very tired and ours had had a smoker in it and was made worse by the stuff used to mask...

My husband and I have stayed here twice before, en route to Italy, but were disappointed this time with the quality of our evening meal. Perhaps that was partly my fault because I asked for a burger that was cooked through as often burgers can be pinky red in the middle. What I got was burnt embers - obviously cooked...
